The Gold Standard crypto EVM-Compatible Wallet is MetaMask; if you're already using it to navigate through BSC, things will be easy for you.
If you're using TrustWallet, we recommend you also set-up a MetaMask wallet. MetaMask provides the most seamless multichain experience. TrustWallet's seed phrase can be imported into MetaMask, so you can run both wallets simultaneously. Check-out the "How to Switch from Trust Wallet to MetaMask" tutorial below.
There are two ways to do this, manually or automatically with Feeder Finance.
Manually
Click the 'Network' icon at the top of your MetaMask network selection
Click on 'Custom RPC'
Fill in the Fields as follow
Network Name: Avalanche Network
New RPC URL: https://api.avax.network/ext/bc/C/rpc
ChainID: 43114
Symbol: AVAX
Explorer: https://snowtrace.io/
Automatically with Feeder Finance
Visit https://feeder.finance, connect your wallet, and select any of the AVAX products
You'll be prompted to 'Switch to Avalanche' and once clicked, MetaMask will ask you whether you want to allow Feeder Finance to add the FTM network to your Metamask
Click 'Approve' and you're set
Just like on BSC, you'll need to have some gas to be able to execute transactions of the AVAX network, whereas on BSC it's the $BNB; on Avalanche, it's $AVAX.
You'll need to have AVAX in your Metamask wallet on the AVAX network. You could either get it from an Exchange, or by bridging.
Use your Binance or any other CEX account to buy AVAX in the spot market (Tip: make sure the exchange supports withdrawals to the AVAX blockchain)
Withdraw AVAX straight to your wallet on AVAX
2. Use MultiChain to bridge AVAX from BSC to AVAX
Select the network you currently are connected to at the top (Binance Smart Chain)
Select the destination at the bottom (Avalanche)
Select the token, the amount of AVAX you want to bridge, and you're set!
Now that your AVAX gas is ready, time to bridge your tokens other tokens over from BSC to AVAX to start your Multichain Defi Journey
